This Marbled Purple Stripe Garlic garlic checks off all the boxes. Large cloves and large bulbs on average that store quite well. Said to have originally made its way to North America through trade between Alaskan fisherman and Eastern Siberian subsistence farmers. Does well in colder and hotter climates. Said to have some of the highest allicin content of all garlics. Allicin is the main Sulfur compound created when garlic is crushed or chopped, it has known anti-microbial, fungal, and viral properties and apparently has beneficial effects on certain aspects of cardiovascular health.
